Edge of Tomorrow is a great video game based movie. Which game is it based on you ask? Just about all of them. Including Frogger. Tom Cruise starts as a typical n00b and gets everything wrong many times as he steadily gains XP. He upgrades his combat, speed, persuasion and bravery skills and picks up a companion NPC while searching for the endgame boss. There’s even a stealth level between levels packed with explosions and fun messy deaths. A very enjoyable action romp. Groundhog Day with aliens.
