I also am a comic book collector, I usually stick with Marvel and DC comics. Some of my favorite heroes that I follow are Spider-Man, Iron Man, Gambit, Supergirl, Batman and Batgirl. I even have some geek related tattoos and plan to get a few more along the way. 😉
Aside from comics, games, and the usual geeky norm, I consider myself a bit of a music enthusiast. I am a vinyl album collector. I am currently working on a project where I am framing every vinyl album that has made some sort of impact on my life growing up, each representing a different story. Some of those albums include: A Tribe Called Quest’s The Low End Theory, The Beatles’ Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Outkast’s Stankonia, and Radiohead’s OK Computer.
I live in the Live Music Capital, Austin, TX. For the most part, I am out and about and I try to attend as many comic conventions, and music festivals as I possibly can. Luckily I live in an area where both happen pretty frequently.
I am married to my amazing wife, Vanessa, who shares the same love for geek culture with me. We have an amazing 2 year old son who is my motivation, my fire, my heart, my absolutely everything in life. Funny story, before he was born, I campaigned pretty heavily to name him after a few Star Wars characters, but she was not having it. However, we did agree on naming him Anthony, after Iron Man. He doesn’t go by Tony… yet.
Aside from writing for GWW, I am a Network Engineer and have been for about 2 years now. I have 7 years in IT experience and 4 in journalism. I went to Texas State University where I graduated in Electronic Media.
