American Horror Story Inspires Latest Release From Johnny HackNSlash (Review)

Nov 23, 2015

It’s been awhile since I’ve written about some music here on GWW, but it’s time to bring some new tunes to your attention! Today I’m going to be reviewing The American Horror Story EP by one of my personal favorite artist, Johnny HackNSlash!

JohnnyHacknSlash

This EP is fully inspired and based upon American Horror Story with each song on the EP representing one the first 4 seasons of AHS those being; Murder House, Asylum, Coven, and Freak Show.

The production on this EP is some my favorite of anything that I’ve heard recently. The entire EP is produced by Richie Branson and the combination of Richie’s production skill and Johnny’s masterful art of rhyme-slaying is something that needs to be heard. This combination really shines through on the two tracks “Asylum” & “Freakshow”

Another cool thing about this EP is how it’s laid out. Instead of just going from track to track and then your done, Johnny HacknSlash has added an interlude in-between each song. The interludes provide a bit of a story and tie each song together nicely which in turn creates for an overall seamless listening experience!

This album is a great listen and worth checking out for anyone who loves nerdy music, American Horror Story, or anyone looking for something new to add to their playlists.

To check out this EP or any of Johnny’s previously releases music. You can find him on Facebook, Twitter, and his Bandcamp page
