What can we expect from D23 and Marvel Entertainment

Jun 2, 2017

Marvel Entertainment is going to go big this year at Disney’s annual D23 conference.

This year at the Anaheim Convention Center, Marvel is going to play a big part at Disney’s D23 Fan Expo. The House of Ideas will be a prominent part of a series of panels and their upcoming media offerings are going to be the subject.

Avengers: Infinity War is currently filming with the biggest cast I can imagine. Is there a possibility that the Russo Brothers have shot enough footage to show at the Expo? It is definitely a possibility.

Black Panther is currently in post-production. The Ryan Coogler helmed film will feature props and costumes on the convention floor. To start the hype machine, a trailer for the film starring Chadwick Boseman, Andy Serkis, Angela Bassett, Martin Freeman, Sterling K. Brown, Lupita Nyong’o and others would be a welcome addition.

Thor: Ragnarok is only a new months away. The film will also have many of its props and costumes featured at the convention and there is the expectation that there will be new footage shown from the upcoming film. This would also be the perfect opportunity for a Planet Hulk announcement.

Marvel Television hasn’t been mentioned in any of the press releases for the event. So expect to see information and footage from Inhumans, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, The Defenders and The Punisher at San Diego Comic Con.

Marvel is also hyping their gaming offerings with hands on demos of games including

Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite

and Marvel Heroes: Omega.

D23 will run from July 14-16
