Oct 28, 2015

It’s October and that means Halloween is almost here. In honor of my favorite holiday of the year I give to you my top thirty horror movies. Now some of these films might be on every list, but some might not. I might even have a film or two that you have never heard of. Just remember this is my top thirty. In other words these films made me cringe or just sent chills up my spine. So with no further ado here is my list.

#11
The Ring (2002)
Directed by: Gore Verbinski

Ring poster

The Ring (2002) by director Gore Verbinski is the American version of the Japanese horror film that goes by the same name. A lot of people prefer the Japanese version. but not me I find this one far superior. One thing that both these films have in common is they both will give you that uber creepy feeling and give you goosebumps and the shivers.

Ring3

Four friends all die at the exact same time and day in different locations. One of the girls happens to be a relative to a journalist and she decides this needs to be investigated. The odds of this type of thing happening is just unheard of. She traces it all back to where they were last seen together. While searching the cabin the teens where last alive in she finds a videotape. She watches it and immediately gets a phone call saying she has seven days to live.

Ring2

Is this an urban myth or is it real. She will have to use all her journalist powers to uncover the truth.

Ring1

This movie will have you on the edge of your seat. Not only is it classified as a horror film it has a great mystery intertwined into it as well. Some great out of nowhere moments and awesome jump scares will having you grabbing your significant other. The Ring is a modern horror film that is not to be missed.
