CW’s ‘Batwoman’ Series Could Begin Filming By Next Spring

Aug 2, 2018

Variety recently revealed that CW is developing a live-action series based on DC Comics heroine Batwoman.

Kate Kane, armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence. But don’t call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope.

We now have word that filming on the Batwoman pilot/series is now eyeing a spring start.

A filming location is currently unknown, but a majority of the CW/DC Comics shows primarily film in Vancouver which seems like an assumed place of production for Batwoman.

That’s unless they go the Titans route and film in Toronto, which doubled for Gotham City in Suicide Squad.

An air date has been suggested for 2019, but with a spring shoot it’s likely it won’t start airing until later in the year.
