First look at Pokémon Sun and Moon series & Pokémon Generations Web series

Sep 15, 2016

Pokémon XYZ just wrapped up and the Pokémon Company wasted no time releasing new footage from the upcoming Pokémon Sun & Moon series. The series will follow the upcoming Sun & Moon games coming out this fall, as Ash makes his way to Alola.

It was previously said Ash was going back to school and in the trailer, we see Ash in a classroom ran by Professor Kukui.

One thing that’s mention able is the new art style which appears to be a shift from the previous Pokemon seasons. This time around Ash actually appears younger. How old is this kid anyway? Wasn’t he ten 20 years ago? I get that after so many seasons of this, fans should just get over the same look and repetitiveness, right? But come on, I mean how many Pokemon leagues does a guy have to lose before he just rage quits.

Yep, he looks younger, his eyes, face and even hair is rounder. Ash has ditched his companions, as usual, as he makes his way this new region. In the trailer, we also get to see wearing a Z-Ring and a confrontation from members of Team Skull.Meanwhile, another series appears to be making its debut this week first on Youtube, Pokémon Generations. PG appears to be a closer retelling of the game series and stars everyone’s favorite hero, Red, the protagonist of the original Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue series. The series will recap some epic moments throughout each generation in the games. Personally, I can’t wait for this. This may be that true Pokémon series we have all been waiting for.

The new animated series Pokémon Generations revisits each generation of the Pokémon video game series to shed new light on some timeless moments.

Was that a Shiny Gyarados fighting a Dragonite?!

The only downside is that the videos are only 3 to 5 minutes long. Luckily they will continue to be released starting TOMORROW until December 23rd, 2016.

The Pokémon Company has really treated fans this year as Pokemon celebrates it’s 20th anniversary with the release of these series, Pokemon Go, and the upcoming Pokémon and Moon games.

What are your thoughts on the animated series?
