Early today Entertainment weekly released the very first cast photo for the upcoming Mighty Morphin Power Rangers film out in March 24th 2017. The lions gate film will be directed by Project Almanac director: Dean Israelite, and will star: Elizabeth banks as Rita Repulsa, Naomi Scott as Kimberly, Becky Gomez as Trini, RJ Cyler as Billy, Ludi Lin as Zack, and Darce Montgomery as Jason. Finally being able to see the cast all together, and seeing the look and feel of the film for the for time allows me to breathe a minor sigh of relief as a Power Rangers fan. This looks like great Ranger casting, but something just feels more legit about this image than the average Disney XD Ranger cast being anounced. Perhaps it is the back drop of the recent addition of Banks as Rita, but it really seems like lion gates is taking this property seriously which I find morphenomenal!
