NetherRealm Studios has officially revealed the first three DLC characters that will be added on to the Injustice 2 roster: Starfire, Red Hood, and Subzero.
Throughout the marketing for Injustice 2, Ed Boone (Creative Director at NetherRealm Studios) posted polls for fans to vote on which new characters they’d like to see added to the game. Starfire, Red Hood, and Subzero were among the most frequently requested characters.
These DLC characters will be available for purchase in the “Fighter Pack 1” add-on, and will be automatically available for the Ultimate Edition as soon as the add-on is released for no additional cost.
It’s a welcome surprise to see this DLC announcement so soon, as Injustice 2 still won’t officially release for another eleven days. If these characters are any indicator of what to expect from the remaining 6 DLC characters, then you can count me in!
Injustice 2 releases on May 16th, 2017 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
