Recently I got the opportunity to interview Gail Simone at WonderCon 2014.  Gail took the time to talk to us during her amazingly busy schedule.  Fans were line up all around us, waiting to speak with Gail themselves.  Later in the day we ran into her again, and she approached my wife and children and spent some time talking with them before she left the Con floor for the day.

Gail Simone first caught the attention of the comics world on the Internet, where her popular humor column “You’ll All Be Sorry!” was featured on Comic Book Resources. Soon after she was writing The Simpsons for Bongo Comics, which led to work at Marvel Comics as the writer on Deadpool.

Following her Marvel work, Simone began working for DC, where she is best known for her run on Birds of Prey and the critically acclaimed Secret Six. Her long list of work at DC includes Action Comics, Teen Titans, Villains United, Wonder WomanThe All-New Atom, Gen13, and Welcome To Tranquility. Her most recent projects include Batgirl and The Movement for DC, Red Sonja for Dynamite, and Tomb Raider for Dark Horse.
