After two unsuccessful big screen adaptations of the Hitman video game series, it looks like Hulu is going to bring the character to the small screen.
Hulu is attempting to bring the IO Interactive video game series to the streaming service with John Wick architect and writer Derek Kolstad at the helm. Kolstad is a master at assassin stories with the success of both John Wick movies and the upcoming comic book series. He seems like the perfect choice to breathe new life into the Hitman franchise.
Few details of the plot have been made available, but it does look like the series will deal with Agent 47’s origins as well as his assassination contracts. Kolstad is currently writing the pilot script and the strength of the pilot could determine whether or not the series will get picked up.
