Marvel and Netflix have released a first look image from series 2 of Luke Cage – and it’s a big deal!
The new image shows Misty Knight (Simone Missick) side by side with Luke Cage, complete with trademark bionic arm – straight from the Marvel comic book universe. Check out the picture below!
In the comics Misty Knight lost her arm while trying to dispose of a bomb that terrorists planted in a bank, she then received a cybernetic limb designed by Stark International. Considering the Netflix shows haven’t really referenced the Avengers yet, will this be the time when the MCU and the TV shows interconnect? More than likely they’ll replace Stark International giving Misty the bionic arm with Rand Industries, seeing as she’s being treated there currently.
The last time we saw Misty was in a hospital owned by Danny Rand, recovering from her battle with the Hand’s Bakuto (Ramon Rodriguez) at the end of The Defenders. Misty also met Colleen Wing for the first time, teasing the start of the comic book character’s duo – The Daughters of the Dragon.
After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage (Mike Colter) becomes a man trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City.
The Netflix Original Series “Marvel’s Luke Cage” returns for a second season in 2018.
