F Gary Gray (The Fate of the Furious) will direct the film from a screenplay by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway who wrote the original Iron Man movie and Punisher: War Journal. Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are producing the film with Steven Spielberg as executive producer.

Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are not expected to return for the film and it’s being reported that the film is not a complete reboot. This means that Hemsworth and Thompson will not be taking over the roles of Agent J and Agent K. This film is expected to expand on the original premise and the world with an ensemble take on the world of Men in Black.

The film is expected to be released June 14, 2019.
