As No.1 With a Bullet nears its conclusion, the insanity is amplified much higher than any of the previous issues! The series has been terrifying from the start but were seeing cyberstalking taken to a whole other level and at this point, honestly, I’m not sure who Nash can trust. When I say that, I mean even herself. I have a couple weird theories that like in any good horror movie or book, I honestly cannot back up. The type of twist that you literally HAVE to wait and see to find out what happens. That’s just one of the many reasons I love this book so much.

Nash gets a few reminders of the past in this issue. She has to really admit to herself certain things about a person she loves and accept the possibility that they could mean her and the ones around her harm. Too many “accidents” to be a coincidence. The more and more she remembers she starts to reminisce. It starts to take a turn for the worse and she wants so badly to just go back to that time. Thank God for the Iris Shutter Contacts… Then “He’s Coming ‘Round”. The end is possibly one of the biggest cliffhangers and mind screws I’ve read in a long time. I’m now questioning at least half of what I thought I knew. It’s terrifying. I think the detective is cracking this case without even knowing it. By possibly cracking Nash. How many villains are there??

The fact that Nash Huang is even still alive is amazing to me. This is what makes her a perfectly written female lead. In this issue, you can see how weak she thinks she is but she still throws out some sarcasm. I’ve enjoyed the build-up to the end of this series in each issue. Perfectly paced escalation. 6 issues is just right. Even though I’m sad to see it go.

The art always matches the expression that should be on character’s faces and has a distinct way of showing their emotions. The people Nash views as monsters or the villainous expressions really stand out and you know somethings coming. This issue was particularly horrifying and a big win for the horror genre. A new reason for technology to scare the hell out of me. I grew so attached to this character. I’m super excited and actually, a bit scared to read the conclusion.
