Supergirl Returns In One Month!

Sep 12, 2017

The last we saw of Kara Danvers, she was flying over National City in a montage, as Mon-El was heading into space in Kara’s Kryptonian pod.

With a small time jump, it seems that Kara doesn’t know how to be Kara anymore.

It’s certainly been a struggle, as seen in season one and two, that Kara sometimes doesn’t know how to juggle both lives. With her friends by her side, will the human part of Supergirl be harder to let go of?

In the two seasons, we have seen how devastating and isolating it was for Kara to lose, not only her entire planet but all of her family, culture and everything she had known up until that point.

In one month, we will see the first episode of season three, and we hope to be given more insight into how she differentiates between Supergirl and her human identity.

In a new promo released today, we saw the introduction of Bloodsport (Robert DuBois). We have also seen Reign (Odette Annable), Ruby (Emma Tremblay), Psi (Yael Grobglas), and Morgan Edge (Adrian Pasdar). The latter of whom will clash heads with Lena Luthor. Alex Danvers proposed to Maggie Sawyer on the season two finale. And we will see J’onn J’onzz father, M’yrnn J’onzz (Carl Lumbly).

Kara’s feeling of abandonment has always been something she has struggled with, both in season one and two. Season three seems promising in that they are going to explore those emotional feelings more, as well as going back to her season one roots and her relationship with her adoptive sister, Alex Danvers. With a lot of new interesting characters and all of the familiar faces of the past two seasons, it will be nice to see how her view on life has changed after the events of last season and some time has passed.

Everyone was impacted in a way when Supergirl defeated Rhea and the Daxamites. Seeing how everyone deals with it differently, is certainly something to look forward to.
