Have you ever wondered what made Leatheface the insane lunatic that he was? Well wonder no more. We will finally have some questions answered this year when the prequel to the 1974 classic horror movie Texas Chainsaw Massacre hits theaters later. Christa Campbell who is the producer on Leatherface gave us a photo to wet our whistle, but it is not Leatherface, who we are all dying to see. The picture is of Stephen Dorff who portrays the Texas Ranger Hal Hartman.
I absolutely love this photo. It has a gritty feel that is similar to the original film, directed by Tobe Hooper. In this new prequel we will see Leatherface as he escapes from a mental hospital with three other inmates, kidnaps a young nurse and takes her on a journey to hell. Along the way they are pursued by an equally deranged lawman (Steven Dorff) out for revenge.
After seeing just this simple picture you can count me in. Who am I kidding. I already plan to be there opening day waiting to get my fill of blood and guts.
