That’s right! Over the weekend, Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff treated fans at Blackpool’s Livewire Festival to a new unreleased track, “Get Lit”. During the concert, Smith mentioned that the duo are working on a record “that you haven’t heard yet.” He went on to state their track, “Get Lit” was in response to the “chaos and confusion” going on in the world currently.
“I wanted to make a song that allowed people to let their light shine. We all have an inner light and sometimes this world…people can say stuff to you and tell you you can’t do and you know you can but when they tell you that it kinda knocks you down a bit right so I wanted to make a record that reminded each and every one of y’all to let your light shine.”
It had been rumored for some time now that Will was working one some new music, but it appears he isn’t alone and has teamed back up with his longtime collaborator, DJ and friend, DJ Jazzy Jeff.
