Young Justice Producer Hints at Premiere Date

Dec 29, 2017

Fans have been eagerly awaiting news about the upcoming return of a new season of Young Justice.

The revival of Young Justice, after being canceled by Cartoon Network after two seasons, was heralded as long overdue. With the show in production, fans of the series want to know when they will be able to see their favorite heroes hit the screen again. Series writer and producer Greg Weisman didn’t give a specific date for the show’s return, but he did give an idea on when we should look for it. In a response to a Tweet asking about the release date, Weisman stated; “All I know for sure is fourth quarter 2018.”

The fourth quarter of 2018 would imply sometime in the fall of that year, more than likely between September and November. The longer production time is relatively standard for animated shows. So does this mean that we will be seeing the premiere of Warner Brothers’ DC Comics streaming service either Summer or Fall of 2018 in time for the premiere?

Making a jump forward from the last season, Young Justice: Outsiders will find the members of the team (the ones who haven’t joined the Justice League) along with some new faces dealing with a world engaging in meta-human trafficking. The animated series will be joining the live action Titans series already in production and expected to premiere in 2018 as well.
