Today. Deadline announced that The Office & 13 Hours star John Krasinski signed onto star in Amazon’s upcoming Jack Ryan TV Series. He will be the fifth actor to play the fictional character after Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck and most recently Chris Pine. The upcoming series won’t be based on any specific Tom Clancy book but will be original story with the books used for reference. Again Jack Ryan will also be a analyst working for the CIA.
Currently the Lost duo of Carlton Cuse & Graham Roland have signed on to serve as showrunners on the upcoming series. Paramount TV along with Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes are helping produce the series also.
