2,500 Actors Have Auditioned for Young Han Solo

Dec 4, 2015

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that over 2,500 actors have auditioned for the role of Han Solo in the upcoming spinoff. This spin-off will see our favorite space cowboy as a young man and presumably how he met his wing-man Chewbacca. The film is set to be directed by the 21 Jump Street & The Lego Movie directors Chris Miller and Phillip Lord. Here is a list of the known actors who auditioned….

Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Godzilla)
Ansel Elgort (Divergent, The Fault In Our Stars)
Dave Franco (21 Jump Street, Neighbors)
Miles Teller (Whiplash, Fantastic Four)
Nick Robinson (Jurassic World)
Chandler Riggs (The Walking Dead)
Hunter Parrish (Weeds)
Rami Malek (Mr. Robot, Short Term 12)
Landon Liboiron (Hemlock Grove)
Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl)
Tom Felton (Harry Potter)
Joshua Sasse (Galavant)
Colton Haynes (Arrow)
Jack Reynor (Transformers: Age of Extinction)
Max Thieriot (Jumper, Bates Motel)

More names are expected to pop up going forward. It’s unfortunate that Kingsman star Taron Edgerton isn’t on this list but doesn’t mean he didn’t audition.
