According to a source at TheCinemaSpot, Hercules is set to make his big screen debut in the MCU. At this time it’s unclear whether it would be a supporting role or a solo film but rumors have spread that he would appear in the Eternal film. Hercules could of course appear in a number of other upcoming films, Thor: Love and Thunder or possibly the Loki Disney Plus series. Until more details surface its anyone guess as to where Hercules will appear but there is no lack of upcoming projects that he could cameo or even be a supporting role in.
Hercules debuted in Avengers #10 (Nov. 1964) as a minion of Immortus, although his appearance was revealed in the limited series Avengers Forever #1 – 12 (Dec. 1998 – Nov. 1999) as being an impostor. The character’s first formal appearance in the Marvel Universe became Journey into Mystery Annual #1 (1965), which established Hercules as being a rival of the thunder god Thor. Hercules is no guardian but rather an Olympian. Hercules throughout his publication history has been intermingled with the god of thunder and would likely be a easy introduction for the character into the MCU. Hopefully in the near future Marvel will officially release more information onto their next big screen debut of yet another iconic comic book character.
