In a few days, we’ll be hosting our Tenth auction. This one is special because it will be the first time the NFTs auctioned off will be minted on Arweave, thanks to Akord!

It’s also unique since we’ll host this with Akord in Paris.

We’ll bring you some activities during the first hour of the auction and will have live giveaways from both Akord’s side and our side during the auction, Make sure to stay tuned on our Discord for the first hour.

Akord will give away storage on Akord for you to use anywhere from 1GB to 10GB and some branded tees.

What’s Akord?

Akord is a protocol and app. The Akord Protocol is a decentralized protocol for on-chain storage and collaboration on Arweave. Developers and companies will soon be able to use the protocol and SDK to bring decentralized access control, NFT ownership, and end-to-end encryption to their apps and projects (the full release is scheduled for 25 July). The Akord App is built on the Akord Protocol and is designed to provide the most user-friendly and accessible way to store data and collaborate on Arweave. In Akord, you can create public or encrypted vaults. Within encrypted vaults, you can invite other people to share your data and send messages, all with end-to-end encryption. Akord also allows you to create documents using markdown and is the only app in the ecosystem to offer free storage on signup – 500 MB. Upcoming features in Akord at the protocol and product level include digital signatures, token-gated access to vaults, and minting NFTs on upload.

Introducing the Crypto Slang Gang & the artist Serge Seidlitz

Akord invited artist Serge Seidlitz to create a set of 9 NFTs to celebrate the launch of the new smartweave version of Akord Protocol. The Crypto Slang Gang was his creation, and these iconic characters will be the first Atomic Arweave NFTs minted by Akord! Serge Seidlitz is represented by global creative agency B&A . During his 20-year career, his clients have included, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Guardian, British Airways, Apple, Sony, Samsung, MTV, Coca-Cola, Uber, and KFC.

Serge became interested in the NFTs at the end of 2021, and Akord co-founder, Pascal Barry, launched an NFT collection on Solana, The Psychic Warriors of Pappataz . A small experiment in the NFT space, it sold out in 1 minute, generated over 1,000 SOL in trade volume, and spawned a second gen collection. The Crypto Slang Gang is another exploration for Serge into crypto and web3, with each character representing popular memes or slang within the space.

Each artwork has also been printed as a  50x50cm fine art giclée print, hand signed by Serge. These prints will be the physical 1/1 representation of the NFT and combine the digital, physical, new, and old art worlds. Postage will be accessible worldwide.

We are starting on 07–22–2022 at 3 PM GMT . Whitelisted will be able to bid 15-minutes before everyone else! The auction ends when the last bid is 12 hours old.

Explanation of the rules

Below you’ll have rules to read over before participating in the auction, we have a simplified version and a more degen version further down.

With this auction, the minimum bid will be 5% greater than the current winning bid for your bid to be successful. The starting minimum amount will be 0.1 AR. The proceeds from the auction will be distributed back to the community, artists, and previous NFT winners.

NFT holders from past activities (Liquidity mining, Auctions) will receive 10% of all proceeds.

Users who actively partake in the auction and get outbid will receive 40% of the proceeds (from when the user gets outbid).

The Artist will receive 50% of all proceeds from the auction.

The only way to bid will be by using AR. The only place to bid will be on everpay.io . If you don’t have AR on everPay, you can do one of two things:

How to Deposit AR : If you have AR, you can deposit AR or wAR;

Buy AR in everPay : Purchase AR by using either USDC or USDT with our feeless cross-chain dex (You can deposit USDC/USDT on everPay to swap to AR)

How to distribute NFTs

In this auction, we’ll be minting the NFTs on Arweave thanks to Akord’s NFT mint feature. They will be distributed once the auction is completely over.

NFT utility reminder and last auction’s statistics

Just a reminder that each NFT, that is obtained by the winners of the auctions, will have use cases.

With the announcement of Permaswap also came the announcement of what these NFTs would be used for. NFTs earned from auctions will be used as entry tickets to liquidity mine on Permaswap. 50% of the total supply of tokens will be used as incentive mining.
