Yesterday, during all the madness concerning all the upcoming DC Comics films one small thing slipped by. Actor Danny Trejo from The Machete films posted randomly on his official twitter account a artist rendering of him as the “main man” Lobo. Intergalactic bounty hunter. Many wondered if this was him confirming he was cast in an upcoming project (This was minutes after Jonah Hex was cast) but it still remains a mystery.

Last year sometime it was rumored that Lobo might actually be the villain in an upcoming Justice League film but that was before Dwayne Johnson (who also campaigned for the role) was cast as Black Adam in the upcoming Shazam film. Others think Lobo could appear on CBS’s Supergirl TV series. Since the entire premise of the show revolves around alien convicts escaping prison which would mean they would need an alien bounty hunter to help Kara stop them.
Since no context on this tweet was given we can only assume that Danny Trejo may simply be campaigning for a chance at the role in a future DC Comics project…
