Deadline reports that Alec Baldwin has been cast in Todd Phillip’s Joker movie in the role of Thomas Wayne.
While Thomas is Bruce Wayne’s father there isn’t an expectation we’ll see either Bruce or Batman in the film.
They also report that the NYC production start has been bumped up to September 10th.
Joker will focus on a failed stand-up comedian’s path from a career in comedy to a career in crime, and is set in the early 1980’s.
It’s release date has been set for October 4th, 2019.
