Amazon has unveiled a new range of Echo smart devices and announced that global purchases of Alexa-enabled devices have surpassed 500 million. The new devices include the Echo Pop, a hemispherical smart speaker with a front-facing directional speaker, and upgraded versions of the Echo Show 5, Echo Show 5 Kids and Echo Buds earbuds. The company also announced a wider release of the Echo Auto vehicular Alexa device, now available in eight new countries. Last year, usage of the voice assistant jumped 35%, according to the tech giant.
