Variety has word that Americans actress Keri Russell is in early talks to take an action heavy role in Star Wars: Episode IX.
Keri previously worked with director JJ Abrams on Mission: Impossible 3.
It’s possible this is the role codenamed “Mara” from a casting/character report posted by ThatHashtagShow. The assumption being that there is a good chance this could be the cinematic version of Legends character Mara Jade.
If she is friend or foe remains to be seen.
Filming is expected to kick-off this month at Pinewood UK and the release date is set for December 20th, 2019.
