Andy Serkis ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Character Finally Revealed

May 28, 2015

Last year when the first teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens debuted many mistakenly thought the menacing voice over was that of Benedict Cumberbatch but it turned out to be Andy Serkis. Many know Andy Serkis as a geek god from his work on The Lord of the Rings and Planet of the Ape films not to mention his cameo in The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Well, even though he has been long confirmed to be in the Star Wars films his character has been kept under wraps until today. While Adam Driver’s character Kylo Ren is undoubtedly the main antagonist of the film it has since been revealed that Andy Serkis will be playing Supreme Leader Snoke. And the actor will once again be motion capturing his character like he has done for so many films previously.
