Another ‘Venom’ Casting Call Points Towards ‘Lethal Protector’ Story

Oct 31, 2017

We’ve previously pointed out that for multiple reasons Venom might be in fact a cinematic adaption of his 1993 solo comic book run Venom: Lethal Protector. Well, another extras casting call is adding to the theory.

The production is now seeking extras to play “San Francisco homeless” for two night shoots. In the comic, Brock protects the mole people of San Francisco, which could easily mean unseen homeless. Those who could be exploited and abused by the criminal underbelly, seeing Brock become their unsung hero.

Shoots nights on October 31st and November 1st, need to be able to commit to both nights.

There is also another call for “security guards” for those with military and law enforcement experience, which could mean lab security or prison guards (the Vault/Ravencroft?) nodding to Cletus Kasady aka Carnage.

Venom began filming on October 23rd as we reported and will wrap sometime in February. Filming is taking place in Atlanta but is expected to move to San Francisco and possibly New York City. It’s release date has been set by Sony for October 5th, 2018.
