‘Antlers’ Adds ‘Hostiles’ Cinematographer Masanobu Takayanagi and Eyeing September Start In Vancouver

We’ve learned that director Scott Cooper will reunite with cinematographer Masanobu Takayanagi on the Guillermo del Toro produced horror flick Antlers.

His credits include Black Mass, Spotlight, Hostiles, and The Grey.

THR reports that Keri Russell is in talks for a role, who is also said to be in talks for an action role in Star Wars: Episode IX.
If the deal is made, Russell will star as a teacher who takes an interest in a mysterious and withdrawn student. Only too late does she discover that the boy is harboring a deadly secret that is key to their town’s survival.

Omega Undergeound has also learned the film is expected to begin filming this September in Vancouver.

Fox Searchlight has yet to give the film a release date.
