Today, Deadline announced that Aquaman screenwriter Will Beall has joined the upcoming Universal Classic Monsters Cinematic Universe. He will pen the upcoming The Creature from the Black Lagoon. For a while, Avengers star Scarlett Johansson was rumored to star in the upcoming horror-action film. However it’s unknown if she is still involved.
The upcoming universe kicks off with this year’s The Mummy starring Tom Cruise. Other films set in the universe will include Dracula, The Wolfman, The Invisible Man, Van Helsing and even Frankenstein.
