‘Avatar 2’ Has A Production Start Date of August 15th

Feb 26, 2017

While it was revealed not too long ago that James Cameron’s Avatar 2 would begin shooting this summer we now have a specific production start date for the sequel.

Omega Underground has spotted that filming is expected to begin on August 15th and will take place in Manhattan Beach, California.

It’s unknown if they’ll be heading back to Stone Street Studios in Wellington, New Zealand as the Peter Jackson production Mortal Engines could be still using those stages. Also, we haven’t had word if they’ll be shooting on location in Hawaii again as well.

Cameron had used Stone Street Studios for the first film.

It’s expected that Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, and Sigourney Weaver will be returning for the film.
