Back in 2009 after both X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Avatar debuted the Deadpool solo film was announced to be in development. Instantly many fans wanted the evil Colonel Miles Quaritch played by Stephen Lang to take up the part of Cable in the solo film.
Fast forward 7 years and that same Deadpool film finally came out and was instantly a smash hit. With a sequel being fast tracked and Cable confirmed for the sequel those same fans have once again thrown Stephen Lang’s name in the ring for the role. So Lang has since taken to Twitter to cofnrim he is indeed interested in playing Cyclops son from the future in Deadpool 2.
