‘Avengers 4’ Casting Asian Fighters – Production Extends To January

Nov 28, 2017

It’s been a while since Omega Underground has picked up a casting call for Avengers 4 but a new one has us asking more questions than giving us answers. A new casting call is now seeking Asian men and women with longer hair to play fighters.

-Asian Fighters

-Males and Females

-5’7 to 6’1

-Ages 30-59

Shooting dates include December 8th, 11th, 15th, and January 8

It’s been confirmed that Tokyo, Japan will be one of the locations which led us to believe that Jeremy Renner (spotted on the Japanese mock up sets in Atlanta) would become his second alter ego Ronin. This was confirmed by set photos with Renner wearing the Ronin costume.

How these Asian fighters will factor into the film remains to be seen but they could have a connection to Japanese action star Hiroyuki Sanada, who recently joined the cast a few months ago. It’s possible we might see Sanada taking more of a martial arts role, considering his background in the genre it would make a lot of sense.

Originally, we had leaned that production on the film would end around mid to late December but this suggests shooting will continue well into 2018. The wrap date seems up in the air but with Captain Marvel aiming for a start in February we suspect things should complete around January or February.
