‘Avengers: Infinity War’: Tom Holland Isn’t Sure If Spider-Man Will Appear

Oct 16, 2016

Marvel finally got their hands on Spider-Man last year when the studio made a deal in partnership with Sony Pictures to let the web slinger appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with his first appearance being in Captain America: Civil War.

Tom Holland’s performance as Spidey was undoubtedly the best incarnation of the character yet and fans are excited about the prospect of Spider-Man once again teaming up with the rest of Marvel’s finest in Avengers: Infinity War. However in a recent interview whilst promoting his new film The Lost City of Z Holland revealed he’s not sure he’ll be in the movie.

“It’s all up in the air. I believe some sort of deal is in the mix, but I’m unclear as to what that deal is.”

Holland might not actually know if he is in Avengers: Infinity War or he could just playing coy. When the deal between Sony and Marvel was announced the terms of the deal between the two studio’s was that Marvel would help Sony steady the Spider-Man ship after their failed attempt with The Amazing Spider-Man and in return they could use Spidey within the MCU.

Unless things turn sour between Marvel and Sony (which I don’t see happening) I would bet my house on Spider-Man appearing in Infinity War .

Avengers: Infinity War hits screens May 4, 2018.
