Jul 30, 2016

The Uncharted live action film has been in development for numerous years. The script itself has been written many many times before being pout into production. However, today it was announced that Bad Boys 3 and The A-Team director himself Joe Carnahan is the latest to get on board to pen the script. The director reveals that due to to time constraints he won’t be able to also direct the film. He does however mention they push production on Uncharted back (which could very well happen) he would love to direct it as well! Others who wrote a draft of the script include Mark Boal (Zero Dark Thirty), David O. Russell (Silver Linings Playbook), Thomas Dean Donnelly (Sahara), Joshua Oppenheimer (Sahara), David Guggenheim (Safe House), and Cormac & Marianne Wibberley (National Treasure).

Recently many fans of Brett Dalton who played Agent Ward on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D has thrown the actors name into the mix as Nathan Drake. Back when David O’Russell wrote his version of the script Mark Wahlberg himself was up for the role of Nathan Drake.
