‘Bad Times At The El Royale’ aka Purple Harvest Confirmed To Shoot January-April In Vancouver
Before Drew Goddard (Cloverfield, The Martian, Cabin In The Woods) directs Fox’s X-Force, he’ll first make the action film Bad Times At The El Royale for the studio. The film’s plot is being kept under wraps but focuses on a cast of colorful characters that arrive at the El Royale only to turn into a shootout.
The cast includes Chris Hemsworth, Jeff Bridges, Cynthia Erivo, and Cailee Spaeny.
Omega Underground has learned from three separate local sources that the film’s working title will be Purple Harvest, a nod to Return of The Jedi‘s working title of Blue Harvest.
We have also confirmed from those same sources that El Royale will shoot in Vancouver from January 29th until April 13th.
Hemsworth and Bridges won’t be the only Marvel alum working on the film as Avengers cinematographer Seamus McGarvey (Atonement, Godzilla) will be behind the camera.
Fox has set El Royale to compete directly with Sony’s Venom on October 5th, 2018.
