Barring Anymore Hiccups Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’ Could Shoot In 2019

Mar 19, 2018

Despite all the rumors concerning The Batman, it looks like things might be finally coming together. The film was originally eyeing a shoot last year until Ben Affleck stepped down as director and his script was tossed-out.

Planets of The Apes director Matt Reeves was ultimately hired to write a new script and helm the solo film. Delays ensued as they usually do when a project is without a completed script.

Rumors began to swirl that Affleck was looking for the door, but that still looks to be unlikely.

Reeves himself had to squash unsourced talk he was leaving the film too.

Well, our friends at HeroicHollywood seemingly are under the impression that Reeves’ The Batman could begin filming by next year. Production information doesn’t seem to back this up for now but it does make sense as Warner Bros would want some top-tier DC releases for 2020.

There currently aren’t any production or release dates for The Batman.
