The Wrap has updated their story concerning Ben Hardy‘s role in X-Men Apocalypse. It looks like our initial gut-feeling was right, along with Variety mentioning Angel as a possibly as well. Jeff says Hardy is indeed playing the character the Angel in the film.

Bryan Singer had just confirmed Angel would be in the film via production art, and seemed to us a tease of his transformation by Apocalypse into his villainous alter-ego Archangel, who works for Oscar Isaac’s Apocalypse as one of the Four Horsemen said to be the villains of the film as teased at the end of Days of Future Past.
It’s most likely that Hardy is playing a villain in the film.
