I came upon this video online a couple of days ago. It was posted by a channel called Action Figure Comics. They’re a sub-channel for the larger outlet of Machinima. This video was to be their fifth episode of the current series. The video’s main subject revolved around the question, “Are Black Panther Presale Tickets A Bad Idea?”.  I wanted to see what all the hype was about, so I gave the video a shot.

During the month of January, news broke out that Black Panther presale tickets broke an all-time record on Fandango. Black Panther presale tickets were the highest Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film to topple even Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier. This was all accomplished in just 24 hours no less.

The mere question about whether Black Panther presale tickets were a good idea or not confused the hell out of me. What struck me as odd is that the question itself did not seem to be raised with other movies. I thought this question could use a more diverse perspective. Soon after, something strange happened.

I made a comment on the video late at night saying something along the lines of “Seeing as though this video is lacking in a minority perspective, I’m going to make a response video”. Mysteriously, within hours, I woke up early in the morning to discover that the original video was taken down from Action Figure Comics’ social media pages. I guess this makes my response video a reaction to the now “Lost Episode 5” of their current series. Hope you enjoy, and feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments below.
