Sony’s first installment in their Valiant Comics cinematic universe is finally coming together as Dave Wilson’s Bloodshot starring Vin Diesel has landed some new cast members.
Variety reports that Eiza Gonzalez (Baby Driver, Kung Fury 2, Alita: Battle Angel), Michael Sheen (Underworld), and Sam Heughan (Outlander) have joined the R-rated comic book film.
We’ve previously reported that filming will take place this summer in Prague and they’ve hired the art director of the new Tomb Raider movie. Also, we’ve confirmed via audition tapes that they are indeed aiming for the film to be rated R.
Sony has yet to give the film a release date but we suspect that July 26, 2019 is a good bet to make as both Hobbs & Shaw and Terminator have recently vacated that prime summer slot.
