Boyd Holbrook’s Netflix Crime Thriller ‘In The Shadow of The Moon’ Shoots July-August In Toronto

It was recently announced that Boyd Holbrook would be starring in the Netflix film In The Shadow of The Moon which would be directed by Stake Land’s Jim Mickle.

Boyd has a history with Netflix starring in the first two seasons of Narcos. He’s likely best known for the role of X-Men villain Donald Pierce in James Mangold’s Logan and will be playing the lead role in Shane Black’s The Predator which is out this September. 

Holbrook will play Officer Thomas Lockhart in the hard-boiled crime thriller.

Here’s a synopsis for the film we were able to dig up.

Officer Thomas “Locke” Lockhart, a happily married man in his twenties begins a decades long quest to hunt down a killer in Philadelphia starting the late eighties. When the killer reappears nine years later Locke’s obsession sees his personal life spiral out control. 

We’ve learned that filming will take place in Toronto between July 4th and August 27th.

Also, the crew consists of Captain Fantastic production designer Russell Barnes and Peppermint cinematographer David Lanzenberg.

Netflix has yet to announce when they’ll be dropping the film on their streaming service.
