The Brave and The Bold: Batman and Wonder Woman #1
DC Comics

Writer and Artist: Liam Sharp
Colors: Romulo Fajardo Jr
Release date: 2/22/18

Mystery, murder, mythology, and super heroes – a combination destined to create a wonderfully intriguing story. Liam Sharp brings together some of the most compelling literary elements and brings it to life with beautifully detailed art. In the first part of this six issue mini-series, Chapter One: Summonings lays the foundation for our story. Sharp introduces us to the settings of our story, the mysterious murder that brings our plot into focus, and our principal characters, namely the Dark Knight of Gotham, and the Princess of the Amazonians.

While in and of itself, little occurs in this issue, Sharp lays the foundation for the exciting and intriguing world we are going to explore throughout this series. Featuring intricate art, giving as much attention and thoughtfulness to the background as the principal characters themselves, and writing that draws readers deep into the mythos infused world that Sharp has built. The Brave and the Bold is laying the groundwork for establishing a well flushed out and fascinating universe for the story. With the story and art both being and intricate as they are it is quite commendable for them to both come from one source. Brilliantly paired with Romulo Fajardo Jr‘s colors that give panels the appearance of historic paintings hanging on the walls of museums.

Chapter one offers glimpses into what we can expect from the subsequent issues, and I can attest that the elements we get have me greatly looking forward to the next issue. I’m very excited to see how two iconic DC characters are going to be utilized in the intriguing world of the Brave and the Bold. The first installment of Liam Sharp’s new book is definitely worth the pickup and I am eagerly anticipating the next chapter. Grab the book for the gorgeous artwork and stay for the super-powered murder mystery story our feature heroes will have to race against the clock to solve!

Hello Nerds and Nerdettes! Welcome to my own little corner of the Multiverse where I am ready to bring you my take on all things nerdy, geeky, or otherwise entertaining in nature. I was born in Ohio, raised in California's Central Valley. For as many of my 31 years that I can remember I have been a huge fan of all things nerdy. My main bread and butter has always been the Marvel and DC worlds (comics, cartoons, TV Shows, films, collectibles, etc.) but I do not discriminate. Show me something entertaining, engrossing, or otherwise exceptional and you can count me in. I've been extremely lucky in life to find an amazing wife of ten years who not only accepts my Nerd DNA but also enjoys seeing the movies, watching the shows, and listening to my Comic Book-TV Show/Film correlation Jeapordy-esq facts every time we're watching something. From comics to television, games to films, and don't get me started on collectibles (Funko's Pop! line has taken over my work desk in my office) my PhD in Nerd knows no limits and is continually expanding on the daily. Greatly looking forward to putting my prospective writing and entertainment world ambitions into action with all things Fandom related as the subject and bringing something hopefully entertaining, or information, or thought provoking to all of you amazing folks out there. Embrace your Nerd, own it, and rock it every solitary chance you get! #keepitnerdy
