Bruce Banner Has Been Written Out of ‘Captain America: Civil War’

Sep 4, 2015

Last year Robert Downey Jr. revealed to his Avengers co-star Mark Ruffalo that The Hulk actually appears in the upcoming Marvel film Captain America: Civil War much to Ruffalo’s surprise. Well, filming commenced over the summer on the new film and Bruce Banner was simply not to to be found on set anywhere. Well, Mark Ruffalo has since revealed that the green Goliath was indeed in earlier drafts of the film but was taken out to add to the suspense on where he is after the events of Age of Ultron:

“The reason is too great to be revealed in this movie (Civil War), I was in the script but then they removed my character. They don’t want to reveal where is he and why. I don’t even know if Hulk will be back soon.”

A popular rumor is before Avengers: Age of Ultron even came out was that The Hulk’s finale scene in the Quinjet would actually ship him off to space. Thus starting a Planet Hulk story arc and eventually teaming-up with the Guardians of the Galaxy.
