Bruce Willis Will Star In MGM’s ‘Death Wish’ Remake; ‘Big Bad Wolves’ Directors To Helm

Mar 4, 2016

Deadline reports that MGM and Paramount have hired Bruce Willis to lead their remake of the classic Death Wish, which originally starred Charles Bronson.

The new take hews closely to the book, about an architect whose life is destroyed by a violent crime against his wife and daughter. Frustrated that the perpetrators are not held to pay for the violence and degradation these thugs inflicted on his family, the architect takes to the streets and begins dispatching bad guys himself.

Adding that the Israeli directing duo behind Big Bad Wolves, will be helming the remake. The directing pair of Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado had been in the running to direct WB’s Justice League Dark, but it looks like they won’t be doing that after all.

Production will take place this summer.
