Bryan Singer Confirms Four Horseman Archangel In ‘X-MEN APOCALYPSE’?
Bryan Singer has posted some production art for X-Men Apocalypse on his Instagram account and it reveals that a version of Angel or Archangel will indeed be in the film
To me it looks like that dude at the bottom is Oscar Isaac‘s Apocalypse and this scene could be about Angel’s transformation from Angel to Four Horsemen villain Archangel which is done by Apocalypse. The character is much more known as the villain’s side-kick and the transformation could lead to a spot on the X-Force team.
Other candidates for the Four Horsemen such as Gambit and Wolverine are said to have strictly cameos which could mean they won’t end-up being on team-Apocalypse. Nothing is certain for the moment but there are plenty of other mutants that could step-in for Remy and Logan.
Ben Hardy was said to be possibly taking the role of Angel after landing a part in the film and this at the very least confirms that the character will show-up in the film. We’ll have to wait for confirmation from Singer if Hardy is actually playing the role, but it’s hard not to see Ben as Angel.
It would also be recasting the role which was originally played by Ben Foster, Colossus actor Daniel Cudmore has pretty much alluded ending his run as the mutant. We have to assume that Fox is aiming to recast/reboot a bulk of the original trilogy characters for whatever they have planned for the franchise.
