‘Captain Marvel’ Production Heading To New Orleans At The End of June

May 24, 2018

Omega Underground was the first to reveal that Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel would be filming in Baton Rogue, Louisiana (along with New Orleans), which was later confirmed by Marvel Studios themselves in an official press release.

Now, Omega Underground has learned that filming in New Orleans will begin on June 26th, we assume this includes scenes in the Baton Rogue area as well.

It’s been noted that fellow Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau, is from the area.

The origin film will focus on air force pilot turned cosmic hero Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel and her thrust into the ancient Kree-Skull War. A cosmic war between two alien races that has been going on for a thousand years.

The film stars Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Annette Bening, Lee Pace, Jude Law, Gemma Chan, Djimon Hounsou, Robert Kazinsky, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, Lashana Lynch, and Clark Gregg.

Marvel has set the release date for March 8th, 2019.
