Yesterday, it was announced that Geneva Roberston-Dworet (Tomb Raider, Gotham City Sirens) would be joining the Captain Marvel scripting team as Meg LeFeauve is moving on to co-direct Disney’s Gigantic.

Co-writer Nicole Perlman confirmed she was also leaving the project while also giving Geneva a warm welcome to the Captain Marvel team.

Today, Nicole updated us a bit on how the script is shaping up and also debunking talk that the script is getting a complete page-one rewrite/overhaul, which was never reported only assumed by some outlets.

Let’s keep in mind, Meg and Nicole have been writing the film for two and a half years and production is only four months away. A complete rewrite would be an impossible task this close to shooting.

Nicole confirmed the things announced by Kevin Feige at Comic-Con (Skrulls, Nick Fury, 1990s setting) are staying in place.

Thanks to @CaptMarvelNews for the heads up.

Captain Marvel is set for release on March 8th, 2019.
