We’ve known for months that David Gordon Green‘s Halloween soft-reboot/sequel would be shooting in Charleston, South Carolina. However, after some production delays it seemed a little uncertain if they’d keep that location.
Omega Underground has learned via a casting call seeking extras to play high school students that it will indeed keep it’s Charleston production location. Not only that, but it begins filming next month.

Shoots mid-January in Charleston, South Carolina.
The film stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, and Andi Matichak.
John Carpenter is also set to provide music for the film.
Universal has set the release date for October 19th, 2018.
