Academy Award-winning actress Cate Blanchett makes her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe next month when Thor: Ragnarok rocks into theaters. As a treat to fans, the actress discusses her role and the significance of being Marvel’s first female villain on-screen.

Blanchett is joined in the featurette by Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi and star Chris Hemsworth as they discuss her performance and what it’s like working with Blanchett on set. There is also new footage from the film including the introduction of Karl Urban as Skurge, a change in scenery for one of the scenes we’ve witnessed in previous trailers as well as some impressive fight choreography in the Asgard battles. “Thor: Ragnarok” is directed by Taika Waititi and returns Chris Hemsworth starring as Thor and Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as Loki. They are joined by Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson and Karl Urban, with Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins.
