May 8, 2015

Two more hot DC Comic properties are coming to TV next fall. It has been announced that CBS will put in a full series order from their upcoming DC show Supergirl starring Melissa Beonist as Kara Zor-el. The show is being developed by Arrow and The Flash showrunner Greg Berlanti. It’s unknown but highly rumored that Supergirl may indeed crossover networks and appear in The Flash or Arrow on The CW but that is just speculation at this point. A trailer is rumored to drop next week for Supergirl at CBS’s Upfronts.

Also The CW has announced a full season order for their third DC Comics show Legends of Tomorrow before pilot has even been filmed. Which makes their faith in the project massive and goes against most traditional TV show. The show will be third show offically set within the Arrow-verse and now The Flash universe using characters from both. Including Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart/Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory/Heatwave), and Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein/one half of Firestorm) from The Flash, along with Arrow’s Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/the Atom and Caity Lotz.
A trailer has indeed been shot and may debut soon at The CW’s Upfronts. The official plot synopsis is:

“When heroes alone are not enough … the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?”

Both shows are expected to hit CBS and The CW this Fall
